अमेरिका के लॉस वेगास शहर में आयोजित 64वीं मिस यूनिवर्स प्रतियोगिता में मिस फिलीपींस पिया अलोंज़ो वर्त्ज़बैक ने मिस यूनिवर्स 2015 का खिताब जीता। मिस कोलंबिया एड्रियाना गुटिरेज फर्स्ट रनर अप और मिस यूएस ओलिविया जॉर्डन सेकंड रनर अप रहीं। भारत की ओर से भाग लेने वाली उत्तराखंड की उर्वशी रौतेला टॉप 15 में भी स्थान हासिल नहीं कर पायीं।
2. Mireia Lalaguna Royo, the 23-year old professional model from Barcelona (Spain) won the 2015 Miss World beauty pageant in Sanya (China). The victory marked the first-ever win for a Spanish contestant. Sofia Nikitchuk of Russia was the runner-up and Indonesia’s Maria Harfanti took third place in the final following a lengthy competition featuring 114 women.
बार्सिलोना (स्पेन) की 23 वर्षीया पेशेवर मॉडल मीरिया लालागुना रोयो ने सान्या (चीन) में आयोजित वर्ष 2015 का मिस वर्ल्ड सौंदर्य प्रतियोगिता का खिताब जीत लिया। इस प्रकार वे यह खिताब जीतने वाली स्पेन की पहली युवती बन गईं। इस प्रतियोगिता में रूस की सुन्दरी सोफिया निकितचुक को दूसरा स्थान मिला जबकि इण्डोनेशिया की मारिया हरफान्ती तीसरे स्थान पर रहीं। प्रतियोगिता में भारत समेत कुल 114 देशों की सुन्दरियों ने भाग लिया था।
3. Tata Motors has entered the top-50 league of the world’s biggest companies in terms of their R&D investments, topped by German automaker Volskwagen. It is the only Indian company in the list. This list is prepared by European Commission, Volkswagen is followed by Samsung, Microsoft, Intel and Novartis. Tata Motors has moved up from 104th position last year to 49th now.
टाटा मोटर्स को रिसर्च एंड डेवलेपमेंट में निवेश के मामले में विश्व की सबसे बड़ी शीर्ष 50 कंपनियों की सूची में शामिल किया गया है। इस सूची में शामिल होने वाली यह एकमात्र भारतीय कंपनी है। इस सूची में सबसे पहले नंबर पर जर्मनी की कम्पनी वॉक्सवैगन है। इस सूची को यूरोपीय आयोग ने तैयार किया है। इस सूची में दूसरा स्थान पाने वाली कंपनी सैमसंग है तथा उसके बाद माइक्रोसॉफ्ट, इंटेल और नोवार्टिस हैं। इस सूची में टाटा मोटर्स को 49वां स्थान प्राप्त हुआ है। पिछले वर्ष इसी लिस्ट में टाटा मोटर्स 104वें नंबर पर थी।
4. Barcelona FC has won the 2015 FIFA Club World Cup for a record third time. In the final match played at International Stadium Yokoham in Japan the winning team defeated River Plate FC.
बार्सिलोना एफसी ने जापान में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्टेडियम यौकोहम में खेले गए फाइनल मैच में रिवर प्लेट एफसी को पराजित करके 2015 फीफा क्लब विश्व कप जीता। बार्सिलोना एफसी ने रिकॉर्ड तासरी बार यह विश्व कप जीता है।
5. The United States lifted a 40-year-old ban on export of crude oil. The US administration lifted the ban on the export of US crude oil, a policy enacted during the 1970s. In the 1970s America banned crude-oil exports in an effort to stabilize domestic prices.
अमेरिका ने कच्चे तेल के निर्यात पर पिछले 4 दशकों से लगे प्रतिबन्ध को हटा दिया है। अमेरिकी प्रशासन ने कच्चे तेल के निर्यात पर लगे उस प्रतिबन्ध को हटा लिया जिसे 70 के दशक में लगाया गया था। अमेरिका ने 70 के दशक में अपने यहाँ से कच्चे तेल के निर्यात पर प्रतिबन्ध लगा दिया था ताकि तेल के घरेलू मूल्यों को स्थिर किया जा सके।
6. The 10th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) concluded with some landmark agreements on a series of trade initiatives. This WTO Conference was held at Nairobi (Kenya). It is the first such meeting hosted by an African nation. The Conference was chaired by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Amina Mohamed.
विश्व व्यापार संगठन के 10वें मंत्रीस्तरीय सम्मेलन की समाप्ति हो गई जिसमें व्यापार को बढ़ाने से सम्बन्धित कई महत्वपूर्ण समझौते किए गए। यह सम्मेलन नैरोबी (केन्या) में आयोजित किया गया था। यह पहला मौका था जब इस महत्वपूर्ण सम्मेलन का आयोजन किसी अफ्रीकी देश में किया गया। इस सम्मेलन की अध्यक्षता अमीना मोहम्मद ने की जो केन्या के विदेशी मामलों और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय व्यापार की कैबिनेट सचिव हैं।
7. FIFA President Sepp Blatter and UEFA boss Michel Platini have been suspended for eight years from all football-related activities following an ethics investigation.
फीफा अध्यक्ष सेप ब्लैटर और यूईएफए के बॉस मिशेल प्लाटिनी को एक आचरण संबंधी जांच के बाद दोषी पाए जाने पर फुटबॉल से संबंधित सभी गतिविधियों से आठ साल के लिए निलंबित कर दिया गया है।
8. The 2015 Indian Super League (ISL) for football, which is India’s most prestigious professional football league, was won by Chennaiyin FC. They defeated hosts Goa FC by in a dramatic final at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Fatorda (Goa). This was the second edition of ISL. The first edition of ISL was won by Atletico de Kolkata in 2014.
चेन्नईयन एफसी ने भारतीय फुटबॉल जगत के सबसे प्रतिष्ठित लीग खिताब – इण्डियन सुपर लीग (आईएसएल) का वर्ष 2015 का संस्करण जीत लिया। गोवा के फतोर्दा स्थित जवाहरलाल नेहरू स्टेडियम में खेले गए फाइनल मैच में उन्होंने मेजबान गोवा एफसी को पराजित किया। यह आईएसएल का दूसरा संस्करण था। वर्ष 2014 में हुए पहले संस्करण को एटलेटिको डि कोलकाता ने जीता था।
9. The Government has announced to set up the country’s first medical devices park with the cost of Rs. 500 crore in Gujarat, as it looks to encourage medical devices industry under the ‘Make in India’ mission. The proposed medical devices park will also have a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for research.
सरकार ने गुजरात में 500 करोड़ रुपए की लागत से भारत का पहला मेडिकल डिवाइस पार्क स्थापित करने की घोषणा की। इस मेडिकल डिवाइस पार्क में अनुसंधान के लिए सेन्टर ऑफ एक्सीलेन्स बनाया जाएगा। ये पार्क सरकार के मेक इन इंडिया मिशन के अंतर्गत मेडिकल डिवाइस इन्डस्ट्री को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिए बनाया जा रहा है।
10. The UN declared 2016 as the International Year of Pulses (IYP) to create greater awareness about the importance of Pulses for human health.
संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने मानव स्वास्थ्य के लिए दालों के महत्व के प्रति जागरुकता पैदा करने के लिए वर्ष 2016 को अन्तरराष्ट्रीय दलहन वर्ष (आईवाईपी) के रूप में मनाये जाने की घोषणा की है।
